Obituary for Penny A. Seibel

Penny Ann Seibel, 75, a resident of the Hillsboro community, died Saturday afternoon, September 21, 2019 at the Tuailty Community Hospital in Hillsboro.

Private Cremation Rites were held at the Hoyt Crematory in Forest Grove.

PENNY ANN SEIBEL was born May 22, 1944 in Colfax, Washington, the daughter of Leonard West and Evelyn Carney. She was raised and received her education in the Colfax, Washington and Lake Grove, Oregon communities, having been a graduate of the Lake Oswego High School Class of 1962.

Following school she lived throught the Portland Metro area.

Penny worked in the mail room at Nike for many years.

She was also a Minister’s Assistant for the Oregon Buddhist Temple.

Among her special interests, she enjoyed being an artist, spending time outdoors, reading and writing, and most of all spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Penny was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Evelyn West.

Survivors include her sister, Pamela Tuchscherer, of Maryland; her children and their spouses, Matthew Seibel, of Hillsboro, Oregon; Brigitte and Geoff Skipper, of Hillsboro, Oregon.

Also surviving are her 4 grandchildren, Jaxson Skipper, Berkeley Skipper, McCaffrey Skipper, Ryker Skipper, and several nieces and nephews.

The family suggests that remembrances may be contributions to the ALS Charities in her memory.
