Obituary for Mary Joanne Diershaw

Mary J. Diershaw, 59, resident of Beaverton community, died Saturday, June 1, 2019 at her home.

Mary Joanne Diershaw, 59, died Saturday afternoon, June 1, 2019 at her home in Beaverton, Oregon.

Private Cremation Rites were held at the Hoyt Crematory in Forest Grove.

MJ, as she preferred to be called, was born January 26, 1960 in Milton-Freewater, Oregon, the daughter of the late Donald A Hanson and Mary Katherine (Schneider) Hanson.

She was raised in the Milton-Freewater community and was a graduate of the McLoughlin High School Class of 1978. She later attended the Southern Oregon University.

Mary was a homemaker for many years and had several part time jobs.

She was an active Christian and was always helping and supporting people in need.
Among her special interests she enjoyed gardening, nature walks and reading about religion, politics and history.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Mary Hanson.

Survivors include her children, Christie Diershaw, of Hillsboro, Oregon ; Katherine Diershaw, of Portland, Oregon; Owen Diershaw, of Beaverton, Oregonand Zachary Kincaid, of Oregon City, Oregon.

Also surviving are her partner, Eric Kincaid, of Tigard, Oregon; her brother, David Hanson, of Portland, Oregon; and her grandchildren, Kyla and Lyra Diershaw of Hillsboro, Oregon.
