Richard "Rick" Alan Courter, 59, resident of the Beaverton community, died at his home Friday, July 12, 2019.

Private Cremation Rites were held at the Hoyt Crematory in Forest Grove.

RICHARD ALAN COURTER was born February 23, 1960 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the son of the late James Richard Courter and Jo Ann (Gentry) Courter. He was raised and received his education in Bartlesville, OK, Coffeyville, KS and Sand Springs, OK, and was a graduate of Charles Page High School Class of 1978.

He had worked as a technical support engineer in the computer industry for Nike and Columbia Sportswear. Rick was also a skilled auto mechanic in his younger days.

Among his special interests, Rick enjoyed computer gaming, fishing and the great outdoors.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and JoAnn Courter and by his son Ryan Courter.

Survivors include his children, Justin, Jared, Casey and Mikaela Courter, all in Pennsylvania. Brother and sister-in-law, James “Mike” and Cindy Courter, of Edmond, Oklahoma, Uncle Charles Courter and wife Judy, of Sand Springs, OK and Aunt Pat Cowen and husband Dwight Cowen of Park Hill, OK. and his nieces and nephews, Leslie Morrison, Mitchell Courter and Jill Vanlandingham.

The family suggests that remembrances may be contributions to the Sand Springs, OK Church of God in his memory.
