Obituary for Manuel Aranda

Manuel D. “Manny” Aranda, 56, a resident of the Aloha community, died Tuesday evening, April 10, 2018 at the Kaiser Westside Medical Center in Hillsboro.


MANUEL DALE ARANDA was born July 17, 1961 in Midway City, California, the son of the late Manuel Alfonso Aranda and Barbara Jacqueline (Miller) Aranda. He was raised and received his education in Fountain Valley, California, having been a graduate of the Fountain Valley High School Class of 1979.

He served one enlistment in the United States Army, having joined on July 15, 1992 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Manny served for two years, until he received his honorable discharge on June 13, 1994 in Fort Riley, Kentucky, at the rank of SPC E-4.

Manny had worked as a maintenance technician for Hines Nurseries Inc. for twelve years, until he retired.

Among His special interests, he had a special love for his grandchildren. He had shared with his son and daughter, “Keep me alive through my grandchildren”.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Barbara Aranda.

Survivors include his lifepartner for twenty years, Nadine Knight, of Aloha, Oregon; his two children and their spouses, Ryan and Jennifer Aranda, of Warsaw, Indiana and Melissa Aranda and Eddy Fabela, of Forest Grove, Oregon; his stepchildren Tisha Conley, of Aloha, Oregon and Sam Caesar, of Aloha, Oregon and his two brothers and a sister-in-law, Eric Aranda, of Beaverton, Oregon and Joseph and Mary Aranda, of Montgomery, Missouri.

Also surviving are his nine grandchildren, Courtney Aranda; Austin Timothy Fabela (“Big A”); Austin Aranda-Fabela; Kyle Fabela; Sydney Fabela; Tucker Allen; Kayleigh Allen; Onnabella Allen and Avah Caesar.
